Pics from December
Claire trying out her skiis for the first time - what a talent!!

4 December 2004
Claire tried her skis yesterday and she did SO well. We all thought she'd do the same as everyone does the first time; lift the legs and 'walk' on the skis, but no - not this girl, she was gliiiiiding like a pro! Here is a picture of her.
She's also been to the doctor to check her allergy and egg allergy is still strong, but no sign of the nut or milk allergies - new test in 6 months.
Last week she went for her 3yr check-up with our GP and everythings going very well. They were quite impressed with her behaviour and knowledge - she must have that from her mother *g*.
Dave is on the boat to Denmark this weekend and comes back tonight. The girls are going to the mall to do the rest of the Christmas shopping then probably some mroe skiing!
Tomorrow we're gonna do all the Christmad cards and also make a gingerbread house - should be good fun :-)
Claire now wants to play on the computer...again. She's doing very well and is addicted already, doesn't take long you know.

Dave's been a bit under the weather a bit lately, went to doc this morning and found out he's actually got pneumonia - poor guy. We all thought it was asthma/allergy as usual but obviously not. At least he got meds for it now and will hopefully be up and about again in not too long. I heard he's been ranting about going to work tomorrow - but I'm not so sure about that.
Claire's doing well, loving the snow and will be trying skiing very soon...she just doesn't know it yet hehe. She has been asking about skiing tho so she's pretty keen. I'll take some photos and post them here.
We're getting a little bit more snow today but only 1-2cm. Still quite cold tho, -12c this morning as I was getting ready for work but cold weather makes for good driving conditions so I don't mind it too much.

21 November 2004
The snow arrived a few days ago and this weekend has been bitterly cold - average temps around -15c at night and climbing to a staggering -7C in the middle of the day. Days are getting very short but thanks to the new snow they don't seem as dark as they did a week ago. We've been promised more snow tomorrow so keeping fingers crossed! It makes for some interesting driving, but lots of fun for all the kids in the neighbourhood.

Living with Cat's parents are prooving to be much easier then expected, and Claire's loving every minute of it. Much better for kids down here in this little valley and with Anja living next door its a match made in heaven

Dave is very busy at work as usual for this time of the year. December will probably be Hell on Earth again - lots of work all the time but at least the money is good. He's actually been at home this weekend and its been good to spend some time together.

Claire became quite ill on Thursday evening and she threw up from 10:30 pm until 4 am Friday morning so not much sleep for Mum and Dad. Cat took Friday off from work to stay at home with Claire, she was very listless the entire day and slept much but ate nothing. Saturday morning she ate a yoghurt but was still not quite with it - much more quiet then normal and ate hardly anything at all after her breakfast. She's much better today and has eaten both breakfast and dinner and her cheekiness is back - yay! :-). She hasn't been outside much today, but have been keeping busy with Dad in the basement on the computer and watching telly, building trains etc. Mum's had a *very* relaxing day and is ready to face work again tomorrow morning.
